Whatever you give

By theGuen on August 5, 2018 9:11 pm

This week started with a little guitar session, wich i was about to abandon....
Luckily i saved it. Next day i found these nice soulfull voice samples, which fitted in without effort.
No pitching no stretching no nothing smile
Saturday i had plenty of time, so i added the leadguitar. It's still a bit clumsy, especially for the first notes, but all in all i am very happy with the outcome.

I hope you enjoy...
Have nice week!!!

Synchronicity at it's finest. Everything fits.

It's very soulful and the vocal sample for sure matches perfectly.  I would have thought it was designed to go with the backing music.

Simply delightful! I didn't perceive anything clumsy, quite the contrary this sounds very inspired and flowing big_smile

A sweet groove and soulful feel, the elements complement each other so well!

Ah cool thanks man! I was inspired, sweet that you hear it... Right after recording i always hear the mistakes...
I wished for a slightly smoother opening of that lead guitar and there are some parts where i missed a string or wher e i wanted to have a bit more room for the voice. But with a bit of distance now... i am very pleased with myself wink

big_smile Thank you!

Super laid back and soulful lo fi sound right down to that groovy organ playing in the background. Those vocal samples are so naturally integrated, I really do not see any clumsiness, just all fits. The lead guitar pulls it together nicely.

Before reading the description and hearing the beat with the guitar I was imagining Raphael Saadiq singing over this and then bam the vocals kicked in. I don't hear anything sloppy either, just good old fashioned soul.  That beat is addictive too!

Real nice. That vocal sample you found is amazing. Tasty guitar playing, it all fits together into very nice chill track. Dig it.

Despite being week 31, I've just discovered your music (what a shame!). Looking for your remix on Tone Matrix "downtown' 97" brought me here...

So soulful it hurts

Wow, this is so good, that vocal sits in there so well and fantastic job with the guitar.  I think this is my fav track of yours so far, you have set the bar very high.

woooaaa, this vocal is absolutely amazing heart You've nailed the downtempo mix and sound, this is so solid. Very chill, very well balanced, and top quality guitar lines!

man, killer soul sample, and it fits so perfectly as you mention. i love the simplicity of the rest of the beat, everything just feels so good together! i hope you're putting out an album at the end of the year smile
