Maybe Pirates

By theGuen on February 18, 2018 10:14 pm

I had a really busy week. So this is a short Saturdayafternoonsession with a Sampler recorded to the SP-404 for that lofi feel. Guitar is played on the accustic. I added samples of mandolin an trumped and played some synth. I couldn't decide if the theme is arabian or more pirate style... maybe a mix wink
I think i should have worked a bit more on this... it lacks a bit of fluidness or proper breaks... feels a bit like now this and now that wink

Nevertheless, hope you enjoy...
Have a nice week!

Very bluesy. Somalian pirates?

Yo, really liking this again, your rediscovery of the guitar is working out so well. I think it is album time, man!

The beginning of the song is awesome. the vinyl crackling with the guitar seems to be 200 years old. A very vintage and organic music. I like it a lot, because I don`t like the clean preset computermusic so much.
Gute Handarbeit, vielleicht kannst Du ja noch ein wenig dran rumschrauben, bis der Flow stimmt. Die Zutaten sind auf jedenfall sehr sehr lecker. Freue mich schon auf den nächsten track.

You are definitely nailing this acoustic style the last few weeks. I can hear both the Arabian and pirate vibe for sure.  I like the kind of warbly effect you got on the guitar.  It sounds really cool.

It's full of atmosphere of some kind.

This is great, that horn sounds fantastic, I’m glad you found this blend of acoustic instruments with hip hop beats, it’s working very well

Excellent track. I live all of the colours of the instrumentation very enjoyable.

Thanks a lot! Maybe a mixtape wink Would you like to help with songselection and order, later that year? I never get that right...

Oh, this is excellent--the melody reminds me of the kind of thing I was going for when I was working with belly dancers a lot (delayed uke sounded really oud-like in some settings), and the reversals are a great processing choice.  Nicely lo-fi!

Def Pirates!  Love the trumpet and how it fits with that gritty lofi beat.  Yais i like!

Belly Dancing Arabian Pirates (in Paris?), yeah! Like this. Makes me want to play around with some string sounds like that some time soon. Gritty lo-fi, exotic goodness.
