This one started out with noodling on the MPC with some sounds-programs I had built out of old 90s sample CDs I found on the internet. I set out to do an ambient drone chillout kind of track and I guess if you squint a little bit it kind of is ambient. At least the first 4 measures or something.

I did end up crashing into a few of the MPC's limitations - namely it is super tedious to transpose and shift around note pitches after you have finished recording. Also at some point I get lost in trying to manage the track's overall structure, so it becomes easier to drop everything into Live and finish it there. Probably there are some productivity tips I have not yet learned on the MPC.

Overall I am happy with the track, hope you are too.

This is very nice music. Love the sounds you are using. It reminds me a lot of the 90ies, namely AIR, etc.
But, it is also very unlike the MPC as I know it in the hiphop context. So cool how you explore the MPC.
