lemon style

Composed on the Dirtywave M8. Havin lots of fun with samples. I really like the textures I'm able to get with my Microfreak paired with the Hologram Microcosm. Probably spent the most time in the middle section. Was difficult for me to try and figure out how the feeling could change. Using the Hypersynth engine on the M8 became really inspiring, even though it's not used much on this track. Nice reminder that I just need to try a bunch of different stuff and let the generative process take its course.

a multilayered and sonically mature treat!  the sampled and synth parts all blend together incredibly well and there's no sense that anything feels missing.  The use of hypersyn is really tasteful too, it's tempting to let it really dominate in the mix but it sits in there exactly the right amount.  yeas

A lovely blend of microcosm tails and a punchy breakbeat. One of the highlights of week 3 so far.

Satisfying beat! Sounds a bit like a 2-step avalanches at times, really impressive work!

This sounds SO fun! It really comes through how much fun you were having with this whole thing. The sample work is absolutely enviable! Looking forward to more of your stuff!

really intricate composition. i’m always amazed by your detailed work with M8

Wait—how much of this is generative?

Not generative in the sense of like “generative music”, but along the lines of just doing something that can lead to other things etc, like an evolving process.

This is super intricate, awesome stuff! The chopped vocals are so good

this is a delight. complex but chill to listen to, really engaging a fun. favorited!

this rules. to echo everyone else, super impressed with how much you packed into the composition while keeping the vibes immaculate. always something new to focus on but it was never too much. really fun track, thank you!

Absolutely floored. So awesome in one week on the M8. These are all so dope.

Fresh.

Yes, the lemon style is good!

So pretty with all the layers. Reminds me of Bonobo but with more wonk!

Very smooth groove and tasteful vocal samples.  Love that middle section.  Lots of interesting techniques going on.  Nice one!

this is insanely good!

Gave me some old school Zero 7 vibes early with those bells but then it went into an uplifting groove that had me noddin along instantly.  Ooooh those gated synth chops sound extra sweet.  Oooh the sparkly arp in the middle that leads into the filtered synth so good!  I agree with errrbody else this is super good and catchy!  *two-steps out da room* *two steps back in for the free tropical drink with tiny umbrella*
