For this week I wanted to write something with no drums and see if I could hold interest without using drums to define the rhythm. It was a difficult task, more than I had guessed it would be but I think it's relatively successful. I got the idea from Oneohtrix Point Never who I don't think has ever used drum sounds, but still manages to keep interested and convey lots of rhythm. It forced me to think a lot more timbrally, to spend much more time choosing sounds. I think because of this time choosing sounds it took a lot less time to mix than previous projects.

Lovely work. Loads (well over 90%) of chamber music manages to maintain rhythmic interest sans-drums. But when doing electronic-y pieces I guess the status quo is drum sounds. I think you succeeded admirably.

Nice angle to take, with great results may I say. Definitely worth more exploration too.
