Moonlight Racer

This was a tricky one to decide how I wanted the track to develop over time. The crunchy echoing bass line was the genesis of the track, and was made by recording me playing around with a Complex-1 patch in Reason and then picking a line I liked. I liked how the line repeated over 3 measures instead of 4, and this then determined the structure. However, as the track developed and more layers added, it became confusing where the transitions in the song were happening, so I had to shuffle things around to try make it flow better.

Honestly the ratcheting synth caught my attention, but the more I listened the cooler all the layers got! There's a lot of motion in this track and some awesome patches that really complement each other well. I think it flows nicely!

Would agree that every part of the song flowed smoothly. Could defs picture myself driving along to this at night, but I reckon amp it up to an extra 30 BPM for racing vibes wink
