Trash was both the keyword for what I wanted to make and also my feelings about uploading this track (initially). Basically the idea was that i just wanted to completely destroy something. I didn’t have much time as my attention has been on applying for a design school. For the portfolio I built a kind of rotating monochord (which was a complete mismanagement of my time). But that is one instrument featured on this track. As you can hear the others are ukulele (sort of the main line) and recorder. The experiment was using many many layers of distortion-reverb-distortion-reverb-distortion-… i did the same to the entire mix. From that the things just kind of grew… I don’t know if you’re listening more to the instruments or the plugins here… probably the latter. Anyways I don’t feel as badly about it now. Maybe it was more about my effort than the “music”.
