Chaos πlot

Time management has failed me this week.
I ended up starting sunday only with a few hours left so it’s a bit short and not very polished. My computer crashed right when i was about to do the “mastering” so I only had 10 minutes to do that before the deadline… but I guess it’s interesting to see what you can do in a short time, my workflow and speed are just not very good friends.

We had pi day this week, also i was borrowing a bouncy ball (which is spherical) from a friend to make into something for him. I discovered that it’s very fun to swirl it around in a frame drum (which is circular)  kind of has a fidget spinner type appeal and i also made a kind of interesting sound, a little bit like a drum roll. I feel like you could do some interesting mathematics with this sphere spinning inside a circle (but I’m not clever enough). To the drum roll i added another frame drum based sound, with gravel in a homemade trapezoid frame drum, just letting it slide. Kind of a filter swoosh sweep sound (or whatever they call it), maybe a little bit cliché but it works kind of.

Following these i built some chords with synth, recorder and melodica. I wish i had had longer to line it up perfectly with the “drop”, but I think a learnt something anyways. Interesting things that very small adjustments to the transition can make.

I don’t know…

i like the sound of the drum swirling. this was a cool piece and i could hear it working to create some tension or suspense in a movie.

cool sounds! definitely graphical, reminds me of like DEVS or some scifi stuff

I like that it's so ballsy
