Bit silly this one, perhaps the younger sibling of week 1? smile

I really like this. Something about the mix seems a bit off..i'm not sure what but the sounds and feeling are all really cool.

I think I may have eq'ed the bass a little to hard in my fear of getting too much bass (which is usually my problem) in there...heh smile
Thanks for the feedback! I tend to tweak the songs a bit more before putting them on Soundcloud so this gave me a chance to be slightly less aggressive on the bass: https://soundcloud.com/subdelay/the-pebble-collector

For me it was just a general feeling of the elements not really jelling together..it's hard to explain. It's especially apparent in the beginning when the piano comes in. Sometimes I hate to criticize people on weekly beats because I know everyone is working so hard but I only do it when I like the music.

Hehe, no worries! I still feel kinda clueless about mixing/mastering so any feedback is welcome smile

I think some kind of buss compression/mastering might help, I use ozone. Or using a few of the same reverbs on different elements as sends, to put them all in the same general space.

I love it. There's some feeling of a buildup that gives the illusion of acceleration. Like something big is going to happen. smile

Hmm i going to disagree with tate on this one. It worked for me they both had a similar rhythmic partern and contrasting textures, but i am bias because thats the kind of music i make lol.

When those atmoshperic pads come in it really comes together.

I also think you could add those vocals that come in the end and expand it so that i comes in halfway through the song aswell! Good job on this one.

Thank you! The big thing that happened was that I got tired and had to finish the song wink

Thanks a lot! I guess music is hard like that, different ears different opinions, but I'm really happy you liked it smile Also I think you might be on to something with the vocals, feels like the song could do with being a bit longer, I seem to often end up pulling a George Costanza with these Weeklybeats tracks, probably because of the time constraint!

really great song!

very uplifting! Super nice integration of the vocals (could have going on for much longer!).
Diggin' the "childish" feeling! Big applause once again!

This is fantastic. Love the claps and piano and other airy elements. Great mix. Favorited
