Who I Could Be

Super condensed timeline this week since I'll be out of town, so this was like a 2 hour project. It's short, but I like it. I couldn't do DI for the guitar, so recorded with my microphone. Still not quite sure how to process acoustic guitar to make it sound like I want it to, but also didn't have time to figure it out.

That chord move from C to B major (not sure if that's exactly what it was) during the "she'll never see" is a super cool sound. Really liked that. Thought this sounded good! Especially considering you only had a couple of hours to work on it. Nice job!

Put me on Team Microphone for acoustic guitars. Sounds much more natural. I like the section that starts around 1:15. Awesome harmonies, cool chords.

What a great sound. Really tasty chord voicing, and the sweep pick going into the strum is such a great change up. Vocal layering is great like always. smile Fantastic for a few hours work!

I think the acoustic mic’ed up well. To make it sound a little closer, you can do some gentle compression with makeup gain (I always use the graph to visualize), then give back some room with reverb. Some chorus dialed back until you’re not aware if it never hurts an acoustic, either smile

Cool reverb chain, "acoustic" you call it? With a "crappy mic"? Seems like a cool one.
