Programmer and musician from way way way back. I make vocal-free* music that nods to ambient and/or electronica and/or orchestral. Sometimes it has a beat, too. (*want to change that sooner or later...)
I've lost count of how many programming languages I've used over the decades, much like I can't even begin to guess when I realize I could play in any key. Played second keys in a small church band off chord charts for a long long time, which taught me a lot about how to make sounds fit together. It was during this time I also learnt live audio mixing.
My jam for a very long time was elderly Ensoniq hardware but a circumstance changed and I stopped playing live and the hardware started dying. Fortunately, about 4 years ago, I started picking up how to music on a PC in Ableton Live. My favourite discrete plugin is Arturia's Pigments, whilst my favourite collection is Native Instruments's Play Series. I did the Andrew Huang Studio course (back when it was Learn Monthly) which essentially taught me how to turn a loop into a track. And it turns out I still use those audio mixing skills - you don't forget them.
Also have a number of other hobbies, including listening to and, to come extent, collecting Kpop. I've always loved highly produced music, after all. But I also make art and do some photo stuff, too.
