slow down - W19

By SQF on May 10, 2026 6:10 pm

a little bit of a slower tune. more FM sound design, overall a pretty simple song with at most 5 tracks.
I still have some catching up to do listening and commenting!
Take care!

I like those textures quite a lot. (Did a 3 chords track only this week so I get you...) The grind is what it is... smile

Maybe it is some go-to with sounds you like, it works great. I especially enjoy the bass.

This is a fun one, love the chords and the sidechain on the FM. Is that noisy lead around 1:04 an FM synth too?

Your drums here deserve a shoutout too. Solid, bopping beat that gives it a good foundation.

It has a little bit of a trip-hop feel to it.  Simple often isn't bad either.  There are plenty of good textures to wrap your ears around here and they combine in pleasing ways.

Oooh love the harmonies going on between the bass and pads.  Drums have a chill feel to them and love when that lead comes wailing in \m/ Such a warm sound throughout.

This is so good! Love that bouncing bass against the pads - tasty chords there as well, and those little walks in the bass are great. That squealing lead that comes in is a nice breakup to the feel, gives good contrast. Simple…and works really well!

Sweet groove straight out the gate. Love the way each of the chords place the repeating bass pattern in a different light. Cool sounddesign on the noisy lead!
No needless complexity, it sounds very focussed as a result.

heck yeah, what a great groove & vibe! got me singing again

Pleasing bass line. I like how it sticks out through out the piece. The patch is punchy.

Right there with you, behind on listening! SO glad I came back to this one, very solid track. The really distorted/glitchy tone about 1:05 does great at bringing things up without wrecking the mood
