You know the drill m8/sub37

Song Details
I experimented with more percussion layers adding some claps, blocks to spice things up.
I had a chunk that didn't really fit so I just tacked it on the beginning as a surprise start and liked it so kept it.
The main rhythmic synth patch is an m8 patch I came across, thought it sounded cool and ran with it.

The Creative Process
I'm finding once I can get into the mood to just experiment these songs come together rather quickly.
This of course is once you overcome the thoughts that you have no ideas, no plan, no destination in mind which makes it hard to even get started.

Cheers to week 14!

Hey! I feel you on that creative process. Until I feel the song is going somewhere, it's hard to know where to turn. Once you get that glimpse of an actual song, everything starts to fall into place.

Liked the surprise start on the song, it sets the stage and gets the song going! Also loved the "jumpy" arp going throughout.

Thanks for sharing!

Guess I need to try one of these m8 gizmos, they seem popular around here.

Lead that goes in and out is really nice. Cool vibe. Panning on the snares at 2:20 and then the synth after that was a nice switch up

Pretty spooky! And I enjoy the Sub37 to bits! Recognizably moogish.

The track overall very bouncy. I enjoyed the listen, thanks!

Yeah! I think some of the lack of motivation at times is getting too bogged down in the unknown, but I guess this translates to other areas of life.

Ha, I'll warn you. It's not for everyone. There is a version you can run on your computer that for about $30 you can get a taste of the workflow. I will say the handheld device is much better. I just realized I responded to one of your other comments on the chords and assumed you had an m8. To add to that comment, hypersynth is a a bunch of stacked saw waves, supersaw style. If you're trying to recreate in other realms.

I feel this really strongly! There are these wonderful times when you're able to just let go, you explore some weird stuff and arrive at really cool corners.
The caveat here is that when doing so, I sometimes feel like I'm writing the same song (or same type of song) for the fiftieth time. But still, that "exploring weird stuff and finding cool corners" feeling is delightful, especially when you're thinking "Aw YES I'm onto something for this week's submission!" Hahahahaha...

Anyways, onto your actual tune: I REALLY enjoyed it! The acid-style synths work really well with the structure you've built here. And the percussion works VERY well too - those clacky retriggers are SUPER satisfying.

Great work!!!

Cute little squeaky bass.
