Alllllright everybody, week 46 is here, 52 will be here before we know it

I worked on a song all week and it just wasn't coming together so threw it on the back burner and started a new project last night.

Recent m8 software updates have added project based time tracking. It usually takes me 5 hours to complete a song. This includes building, listening etc. My mastering process is pretty simplified now so I can final master a song in garageband in about 10 minutes.

I finished this one in just over 2 hours and I'm super pleased with the results. Not that time spent making a song determines the outcome. But in the business of cranking shit out every week its nice to know when push comes to shove I can make it happen in a relatively short timeframe.

I think this builds and releases nicely along the way with some nice melodies tastefully repeated with some variations.

Enjoy!

Good buildup, satisfying payout.

i did enjoy! nice one, SQF  big_smile

Melody sort of recalls the Seven Samurai soundtrack or maybe it's my imagination. Anyways, I like it

Oh that’s a cool feature. Funny you do end up mastering in a DAW and also that that daw is GarageBand

Main blippy melody guy is crisp. Might have liked some crispier drums especially when the layers are stacked. Idk what that means though. Maybe louder, sidechained, different samples, FX? Very cool especially for two hours. Maybe I’ll be one of these things for Christmas for week 52 lol

This would be an impressive track if you worked on it all week. Two hours? Daaaamn, you have your system dialed in. Very nice work - nice build, lots of great texture. Good job!

This frigging ROCKS!!!! It's got such a "cool bad guy" vibe to it. All the moving parts here sound SO fun and play well perfectly off each other. Really, really well done.

This came up again when playing a random WB Playlist and I just smiled real wide. Really loved the vibe in this one. Congrats again!

Excellent groove and wall of synth sound!  I immediately recognized that signature SQF sound you get out of your leads.  Those bigger synth_stab_hits sound awesome in between the leads too.  Nice work!

The soundscape in this is insane

Super catchy! And the sub that hits around 1:20 just sounds so great in my headphones! Then at 3:00 when everything is coming in ... ooowff ... sounds AMAZING! I love how all the different instruments are playing back and forth in conversation and they all have their place. The melody variations are really natural sounding and really lead the whole thing along. Really awesome that you got that all put together in such a short time. Nice work!

Love all the bass in this - they blend together seamlessly and have some real warmth and depth. And that legato/pitch bend! Fantastic. Really nice sequence, and I'm always a fan of a percussion/drum line that just sits perfect in the mix and carries us along. Great track!

Great flow, was flowing with the beat and that solid kick right out of the gate, backing elements create good groove, then that lead just soars! Two hours, super impressive.

very catchy!

Awesome! A timekeeping feature seems really nice, I ought to keep track of how long things take me a bit more than I do. 2ish hours is crazy for how much this has going on haha. Really strong groove, you really nailed that back and forth between the "pulled back" sections and the parts with high intensity leads/stabs, as you so regularly do!
