Little Pine W26

Wow y'all, week 26! Congrats to everyone who has made it this far and a shout out to all the listeners and commenters.

This weeks song had troubles in arrangement. I ended up scrapping a core piece of the song when it didn't quite fit with the evolution of the creation.

I ended up with these plucky/guitar left and right panned parts and came up with some variations.
Added some portamento synths on top and I like how it turned out.

Another lesson in not feeling bad about trashing some work. The sunk cost fallicy shows up everywhere I guess.

I'm getting james bond vibes from this one though it wasn't anything intentional.
Enjoy!

There is a little bit of a spy music feel to this for sure.  I think there's a bit of a confident swagger to it in general that probably contributes to this feeling.  Congrats on making it to the halfway point!

This track is dope.  Solid grove and the plucks sound great, both from a harmony and mix perspective, very nice work!  And yeah, I'm 100% with you on the learning/re-learning that the sunk cost fallacy is in fact a fallacy.

band name ideas:

The Plucky Spies
Sunk Cost Fallacy
Solid Groove & the Plucks
The Mixed Perspectives

ok, i'll stop. thanks for this sneaky track, SQF!

HA! Too good to choose just one!

Secret agent Pine, from Oregon, and a nice smell. I can see it in the beat though.

The panned plucky sounds are awesome, they play off of each other so well and create really satisfying rhythms/counterpoints. The sliding synths are sooo sick as well.
