Unusual Pairing (WB18)

Thinking about how our paths cross and part and sometimes mingle

Recorded the harmonium over top of a basic rhythm and then all the other tracks over top it in about 10 takes. I set it down and came back to it the next day and chopped, copied, layered and mixed the vision together. Similar workflow to usual but different approach with the different instrument pallet. In all it was harmonium, Hawaiian ipu drum (still learning how to use this thing!), hand cymbals, 3D printed ocarina and vox.

A new beginning

Very beautiful and harmonious. That harmonium really provides a nice backdrop to everything.

a beautiful analog and folky enlightenment. put this also on the record, please.

What a neat song! Love the percussion and lyrics in particular.

Oh! So that's how you play an ocarina... Lovely track! I really like all the percussion and the lyrics and vocals are great.

That harmonium has a whole lot of potential that I feel like I've only started to tap into

Thats one way to play an ocarina :-X Thanks! Sometimes the stream of consciousness comes together into something coherent and I think this was one of those bits with the lyrics and structure all sort of came out at once.

Haha, sorry I meant the first part as a dig at myself- I got an ocarina at a ren fair and haven’t figured out to play it properly and have used it in some of my tracks in what I think is a pretty clunky way. I like how you played it in this song! it sounds nice! I love stream of conciousness as a method for lyrics/singing! good job again on this awesome track
