Tea Time for Turtles (WB20)

This one was a bit odd. I had an idea in mind that was kinda nice an pretty but it warped into something kinda gnarly. Lots of dissonant harmony going on. Odd key jumps between sections. but it seems to work out

About 45 minutes putting together patterns, 15 minutes recording a structure and adjusting it and another 20 minutes adjusting levels and slathering on FX chains. Total work time about 80 minutes

It has some nice tension going. I do feel that overall it sounds a tad murky yet dry. Especially the drums. I could imagine them with a bit of 80s reverb and delay. To give them some more life and weight. And maybe some more upper mids and top end on your other instruments. Because the mix overall feels kind of receded. But I like the overall idea of this track.
