Been having trouble sleeping lately. Maybe its all the coffee concentrate. Maybe..

Spent about an hour and a half in the wee hours of the morning putting together a melody, bass part, basic drums and most of the patterns in the song. Came back to it the next day with a little more focus, spent about 45 minutes and filled in the gaps in patterns and set up the structure. 30 minutes recording pad parts off the MS2000 (my recorded element for the week) and manipulating them to fit in the background. 20 minutes adjusting fx and volumes, 15 minutes putting in some filters in the beginning and end, and another 20 minutes polishing the master chain. Total work time about 3 hours 40 minutes!

Really dig the way the drums create a driving sense of forward momentum. The melody sound is also really cool; I love the way it sounds on its own in those last 30 seconds.

excellent big_smile the pads worked out surprisingly well off the MS2000 with some sidechaining on them

That was the vibe i was going for. A little synthwavy with some haunting melody tones big_smile glad you liked it!
