Holding Pattern (WB29)

Maybe its the staying up until dawn trying to wrap my head around going back to work but I was feeling some stereolab vibes this week.

Took a 1 bar clip of guitar and the bass and pad instruments from last weeks song (also the hidden drum track I used to record the guitar) to build a dronescape

Spent 10 minutes picking the right clip of guitar and clipping and looping it to shape, 15 minutes adjusting the drone pad and writing some chords in, 15 minutes adjusting the drum pattern, 10 minutes volumizing and adjusting the tracks to drone well together, 20 minutes writing in filter patterns and adjusting the structure, 10 minutes adjusting final mix and done! Total work time about 1 hour 20 minutes!

Is this what Stereolab sounds like? Jeez I gotta listen to them more. Reminds me of Seefeel, and I'm wearing a Seefeel shirt today if that tells you anything. Faved.

This is really lovely. I love the whole vibe of it - 80 minutes well-spent.

Nice.

Good vibe. I liked the straightforward use of filters. I could imagine a discret piano theme on top of it.
