Calling for You (WB10)

By spry on March 7, 2020 10:08 pm

My coworkers liked my last song so much one of them made it his ring tone on his work computer. So naturally I decided to make a song about getting a phone call.

Recorded sounds: Gallop bass and arps off the MX2000, vox

Spent about 2 and a half hours writing patterns, recording loops of the synth and deciding on the lyrics. Another hour recording some vox and setting up a structure. 20 minutes rerecording the vox and about 40 minutes mixing and getting the fx right. Another half hour going back in and adding some copied vocal sections and massaging the master track. Total work time about 5 hours!

Lyrics:

Hello!
Are you there?
We're calling for you.

Are you there?
Somewhere?
We're calling for you.

Nice vocals!  Great energy all around.

Nice,
I'd totally pay $2.99 for a custom SPRY ring tone(tm) on the appstore

Those are some powerful vocals, backed by some powerful instruments.
