A Change of Pace (WB36)

This week I wanted to make some pause music. Something that would take you right out of whatever you're doing and sit in intermission with you for a while. Something that could loop endlessly.  This came out bossa nova inspired and I got the bass and guitar out this week to record some live instruments. computer drum loops and some live tracking on top. Total work time a lot longer than I expected at 6 hours on a Sunday afternoon before the deadline big_smile

This here capture the feeling of being told after getting off of the elevator on the 42nd floor that you weren't supposed to be here after trying to find the desk for where you were going, and then realizing you were supposed to be on the 24th floor instead.

This was the perfect mid-workday break. Thank you!

Totally dig the percussion loop on this, and then having other elements sort of cycle in. Definite pause/hold vibes. Also made me think a little of zombo.com (for your daily dose of news internet throwback).

I am totally digging the punchlines of the percussion. Fantastic work on this track - it’s got some real hip to it!

A very much appreciated change, a little tune for those breaks in life, like waiting for a salsa to cook.
