kind of the opposite setup from week 1 - whole hog super production setup going here

octatrack mk2 sequencing a gameboy with mGB running direct into an acidbox III, empress zoia for reverb (and analog sync to the acidbox), elektron analog heat for processing the whole thing. ran straight into ableton, single take, no processing

pretty pleased with how good mGB/DMG sounds with the acidbox, it makes pretty much anything sound good. still learning how to use the octatrack's MIDI sequencing stuff so there isn't as much variation on the main lead as I'd like, but that will probably change once I actually figure out how to use the arpeggiator. also figuring out how to get the bass sounding fuller with a DMG

used 0f.digital's teensyboy/mgb tutorial to get the teensyboy midi working: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlo4joa_kis

Very nice!

hoo buddy the great thing about weeklybeats forcing to record and release a track every week is that now that I've spent some time away from this I'm realizing that the mix is real bad neutral

I know what I need to work on for next week lol

It always amazes me what you can achieve with a Gameboy. Nice one!

if anyone's got tips for how to mix hardware setups so I don't lose the kick entirely pls post

(if the answer is just "turn everything else except the kick down and let the analog heat that you threw at the end of the chain handle everything", I'm sorry)

thank you for all your comments regardless smile
