Kale Pizza

By Sorkfot on April 17, 2022 11:23 pm

Kale pizza:
100g (steamed) kale
50g cashews
juice of ½ lemon
chili flakes
olive oil
garlic
salt and pepper

Mix in blender

Put on pizza with mozzarella, parmesan and prosciutto. My best pizza so far!

Roland R5 drums
Precision bass
Spanish guitar
Electric guitar (and guitar synth)
Behringer Model D
Casio DM-100

I programmed my first JSFX plugin in Reaper; a waveshaper that was used on every track here.

I liked that a lot! The trumpets sound nice. Are you using a guitar synth controller for those? I've seen those before but never got to try one. Your bass playing is really good. This track is nice and laid back funky. Gonna listen to this next time I make a pizza!

Thanks for commenting! Thats's right, the trumpet is played on the guitar synth. (Roland GK-3-Roland GI-20-Korg 01R/W). It's a very fiddly setup but once it works, it's pretty responsive and fun!

I thought it was a joke title, but after reading the recipe it makes me want to try it, eating kale pizza out in the spring sun listening to this piece of delight. The ooing synth in the background is a nice touch, perhaps it’s the kale of the tune?

I'm not a big fan of kale, but I am of this song.

this is so interesting, I can barely hear the cashews!

wait that trumpet sounds so good, wow - had no idea it was frozen!

you are so good, my favorite new WBer in 2022 for sure

Today was kale pizza day, me and the kids, out in the sun with the appropriate music accompaniment. It was delicious! smile

fantastic mood smile oh and some nice jazzy harmonies throughout!

cool synth sound too, reminds me of the foolish sounds of chick corea or herbie from the 80s when they were discovering synths and adding them to acoustic bands, so much fun! big_smile  but this time way more chill

on second listen I really appreciate the bassline and the synth solo and also the nylon string guitar coming in around 1:10, so lovely!!!

Chick Corea Electric band is kind of the pinnacle for me. Big influence, although I can't play that stuff. I will be tweaking my FM-synthesizer for guitar synth stuff in the future so stay tuned! More DX7 style sounds to come.

Ah, but what does the kale provide if you add all those things then?
