Began 4 hours to deadline. Inhibited flow, annoyed. Hope you enjoy! smile

D4 drums
Precision bass
Casio DM-100
Spanish guitar

beautiful!

Super nice vibe, felt like I was going through many places in my mind smile this beat is quite special. nice bass and acoustic guitar too

I am very impressed. a great and outstanding track.

What a wonderful composition, the bass is thick, the guitar is pleasing, the drums are gentle and the synth is very kind.

Coolest character bass riff, and very sweet arrangement around it. The pad is magical, as is the tune as a whole.

diggin' the laid back vibes

Thank you very much! I appreciate your comments!

The rhythm of muted strings in this is a perfect touch. (What are those bell-like sounds in the 2nd minute?)

It's the bell patch on the Casio DM-100. In this tune I recorded the Casio through the same stereo mic configuration I recorded the guitar with. This Casio is pretty remarkable in many ways. The lower manual (yes, it has two) has an always-on vibrato on one channel. It has two speakers, so the stereo effect is very spooky and sweet acoustically. And it works even better (apparently) when you mic it instead of pulling cables.

The bell sound is full of aliasing, fake delays and happy weirdness. If I analyse the behaviour correctly, it has an envelope that repeats and decays over 5-7 repeats depending on battery life and general randomness. This is of course interrupted by polyphonic limitations of that synth, so if you play more than 4 notes, the repeats cut off prematurely

It behaves even weirder now as the batteries are running low.
