I bought some Practical electronics magazines on a flea market that I can't read because of the smell. Any advice on how to get rid of that funky smell?

This whole ensemble together sounds a little mad but the resulting track sounds a lot good. 
Any advice on how to get rid of that funky smell?
Seal them in a bag/box with baking soda or old newspapers. I've heard dryer sheets work, too.
That’s a hell of a funky smell - funky good! I love the entire band, but especially the crash cymbalist. 
Smells good. The song, not the magazines. Don't know how to get rid of the smell though.
