For no good reason, I've been watching a lot of Survivor lately so here's my take on some music you hear before your ass gets voted off the island.

Awesome! Tense, definitely, but also clear--everything gets space, and there's a narrative arc, too. Well done!

Thanks! I guess the only interesting production I implemented was having a reverb channel for all the instruments and used side-chain compression to duck that channel under the drums. Nice way of filling up the space while keeping everything sounding clean smile

love this! i don't go in for Survivor, but have been pulled into plenty of trash TV  smile
this works so well for that "what's gonna happen??" vibe. i should probably figure out side-chain compression at some point...

Thanks! Side-chain is worth learning, even for filling in little bits of space in your mix.

see that's the thing, i'm always trying to leave MORE space in my mixes  big_smile
still.. i should learn side-chaining...
