Estate Planning

By Sodabelly on January 14, 2018 11:17 pm

This week's track is actually for an estate planning firm's promo video, my boss got involved in producing the video and asked me to do the music. I don't expect anyone to love it and it's not completely polished yet but if anyone wants to give me some feedback on the mix/master (or just the track in general), I would appreciate the help! Thanks and enjoy smile

Oh man, this is so cheekily professional!  Random thought, I might reduce the mids on the piano (to help the strings come through), and would bring up the overall volume on the glockenspiel at the end.  How much of this recording is live vs. virtual?  Everything sounds really nice!

Just look how happy this couple is with their real estate purchase after listening to your track:

I need to buy a house now.

On the mix side, I think the piano is a little too dark and should sit more in the brighter higher end at the start? Also, I agree with orangedrink, glock should be just a bit louder at the end smile

Thanks guys! Very helpful advice smile After listening to the thing three-hundred times, you don't hear it objectively anymore

As Orangedrink said, this is spot on. Very pro. The piano sounds right to my ears, but it's true a more brighter sound could fit better in the genre cliches.

Quite right, Sir

Thanks guys! I always appreciate the compliments, feedback and weird gifs

Very pro indeed and i'd say the glock is actually a good level too, if this has a voice over smile  At least that is how i imagined it.  Well done!

this song would make me feel good about making life/death plans

- jokes aside it is a really nice piece & the mix/master sounds really polished
