Trying Some Things (NES + SMS)

By Snyderman on October 6, 2024 4:09 pm

I've been wanting to do some multi-chip stuff but haven't had much time for deep experimentation.

Did a few simple things today with my usual tricks; started with familiar chips NES + PSG, found a good starting groove, progressive accretion (adding layers each loop), and did a bit of 'beat occlusion' by changing the rhythm right at the underbaked ending.

It was fun playing with the periodic noise and square, though I can't say I had a specific goal in mind this week just like last time.

LOVE IT!  When the high-tones come in at 0:20, it sounds like Morse Code.  Is it?  This is great man.

Oh, love the weird swing ending, too!

Thanks! Yea it's Morse Code, if I got it right it was "Rock On" x2. I want to keep consistent and make sure I'm writing something weekly so a few random thrown in there; morse code, reorientation of tempo.
