SMS Plus House (SMS + OPLL)

This description is as much for listeners that care as it is for me as an archive when I return to this in the future and forget a lot of it.
I started this track as a reverse engineer of this early 90s house tune from 1992, something I found in the early days of YouTube (2008ish?) when it was a truly amazing tool for music discovery, before the usual tech incentives made it awful. "Untitled Track 1" by High Society from Spare Beat Records (SBRR05), 1992 from the days of piano house.

Obviously that very 808-ish tom right off the bat is one of the few things that the OPLL can do well.
I decided to put a lot of things together that I've been building up over the last little while. It's using the SMS+OPLL in percussion mode: 3 square wave, 1 noise, 6 FM channels, 5 FM percussion channels. I didn't use every single one all the time but I did use most channels throughout the track.
I took a lot of time putting together a session; pulling instruments from several different tracks so I had instruments for the percussion channels, variants for the 15 OPLL presets (volume envelopes work even on firm patches), a few SMS patches, creating the right swing groove.
I spent a lot of today just chugging away at a tune. I'm pretty proud of how it turned out but frankly I'm tired of looking at it since I've been working on it for 4-5 hours. I should come back to this one at a later date and really flesh it out.
