Sleng Teng Riddim (DAVE)

Updated Furnace to the latest version, saw that it now supports the "DAVE" soundchip from the relatively unknown Enterprise 128 home computer system.

On the surface it's got a pretty basic array of sounds, mostly square and periodic noise but it's limited in unique ways. Pressing a few keys and it immediately reminded me of the classic Sleng Teng Riddim popularized by the Casiotone MT-40 in the early 80s. Not quite as iconic as the 808 or the 303 but quite influential all the same.

I've learned not to be too precious with these Weekly Beats, so had fun exploring some new 8-bit sounds and some light reggae.

Nice, this has a compelling groove to it! It's fun getting to learn about these different soundchips too.
