Disco (PSG)

Another week, another track. I pretty much started and finished this one in about 3 hours. Last week was Space Disco and I've been watching a lot of Griselda (which takes place in the 70s) so I figured I'd start the backing for a classic disco tune. It may not be much but it's good for me to keep a habit of making a track a week for consistency.

Things I worked on
- Channel economy. Getting good sounds with only 4 channels is tough, especially when they're all square waves and noise. Percussion almost exclusively on the noise channel. Also working around some of the more obnoxious aspects of Square 3 & Noise channel conflicts.
- Working quickly. This was a start to finish, new session, new patches, composition and arrangement all in 3 hours.

Nice! And pretty danceable too. The syncopated melody in the beginning feels especially cool to me.

simple and great! It is now the ringtone on my nokia 5120
