Melancholy piece for ukulele and Reface CS, with shakers and singing bowl for flavor.
Alternate title: "song for the bowl of dry cereal after a 4:47 am soul-baring conversation"

This was an attempt to make something not using my Dirtywave M8. I ran into the limitation of my human timing pretty quickly big_smile. EQ for this was a bear, and I'm still not happy, but at least the streak is alive

I think the little imperfections add something to this.  It sounds very genuine, authentic, and human.  The instruments are all pretty and blend well together to make a pleasant atmosphere.

I flipping love the Reface CS, super cool synth.

Uke and analogue synth works really nicely.

I like that it's very human.

Yay human!
I liked how each instrument has its place in the composition and mix, they became characters in conversation and that was cool

Uke sounds awesome, nice work making it sound so clear! The little imperfections make it a very human, very honest piece. Feels perfectly in line with the themes. The dusty synth melody fits very well to round off the melancholic vibe. Can't really place that bell at the end, first time I heard it I thought there was an icecream van outside my house! Superb work, hope you'll do some more of these live analog jams.

Nice calming music, great use of instruments everything flows really well! heart

Thank you! As you can tell, I don't do pretty often, so I'm glad this worked

Thank you! I think the Reface CS does my favorite FM flute patch anywhere, especially with how sweet the pitch LFO can be. I've wanted to make a drum pack with the ring mod section for years and just been too lazy to do it. Would love to hear any reface tracks you've done if you got any

Thank you! You already know how much I narrativize things, so I'm glad the character impressions come through

Thank you! I still have some more analog instruments to get through on my list, so there will definitely be more this year. (The bell is the sound of the striker accidentally coming off the singing bowl. If you do it on purpose, it make a lovely almost-sine-wave tone)

Thank you! "Calm" is a challenge for me, so I'm glad this worked for you

I'm definitely going with comfort
