9/8 time, based on Mela Ramapriya beyond the first 16 measures. Transposition numbers are 1 3 2 1 2 1 2. I used a lot of non chord tones though, just trying to get something finished.

It like the way this develops with some very cool textures coming in. The "odd" time signature doesn't feel strange at all, which is also cool.
I was hearing the serpents at the end there. If I hadn't been counting, I'd've thought this was 7/8-- has a similar 4/4 but with a stutter at the end feel... which I guess makes sense, just an extra eighth note instead of a missing one. I also dig the exotic scale... can't wait to dig into volume 2!

I have a soft spot for tabla and sitar. They have nice texture

Yes, 7/8 and 9/8 are very similar. 9/8 can also be spaced out like three groups of three, which is well suited for a bridge section. The chorus and other parts are like 4/4 with an extra note. Cheers Bob
This one is really cool! I really like the drums that sit around the 1 khz - 800 hz area. I wonder what it would sound like there wasn't a drum keeping time.
