Forever Dollhouse

By Sir Bunting on February 23, 2024 8:36 pm

This song is about Pecani's secret "forever dollhouse" where every wall becomes a corner where every wall becomes a corner where every wall becomes a corner. 11/8 time. This file need a lower bitrate to accommodate the 16MB file size limit, so check back on my bandcamp at the end of the first quarter if you wanna hear it again.
Life event: this week is when my family got a buyer for our house and we will be moving to another state soon.

Super creepy. Why did I listen to this before bed? Great instrument selection and sound design and catchy groove. The power guitar in the middle was a great touch. Nice work!

Absolutely love all the layers going on here! And the unconventional time signature is a nice change of pace. Can. definitely feel the sort of "fun house hall of mirrors" vibe with this one. Lots of dissonance and oddities. Really unique sound and approach, cool stuff!

Hope the move goes well! How are you feeling about it all? Sounds like a big life change!

Def love the heavy guitar in the middle. The whole composition is packed with so many sounds. I'm amazed at how you put all of this together. Very talented.
Sucks about the move out of FL, but cheers to new state experiences!

I'm listening to WB quietly at work and this was playing for a few minutes before i realised I was creeped out by something. There's a lot going on in this track, hinting at a larger narrative and all nicely propelling it forward through a runtime that seems shorter than it actually is. The whole thing is a perfect balance of pretty and eerie.

Good luck with the move.
Magnificent piece, too, feels like it does, in fact, go on forever.
