Turns out that it was reverb that was missing from my modular rig 
Got me a QU-bit RT60 and all is well. Trial separation because my OP-1 mic is bust and I need to send it in for repairs, so I have to look elsewhere to get my satisfaction...
This is basically the same patch as in console resurrect, also played live. Anyone fancy decoding the middle bit? It's not that hard...
Soon, then it'll all be over. HOW WILL WE COPE?!!
