Weeklybeats is a 52 week long music project in which artists compose and publicly release 1 song a week for the entire year.

so in all of the 68 weeks i've posted on this site, i have never strayed from the op-1 process (ie. record and mixdown entirely on the op-1)...until now. I was actually forced into it by my latest experiment. It involves looping and recording on the op-1 - in this case with radio noise from the built-in radio - as a performance technique. You can only record in one place at a time on the op-1 so there's no hope of mixing down in-place.

So instead i made it a two-instrument live performance...starts with the op-1, with the modular coming in later. No mixing, just a straight take. I think it turned out nice, and the prospect of being able to do something useful with these two systems is exciting, there'll be more...

Great track, lots of interesting sonic details there.
Looking forward to hearing more music done with this setup, although you tend do amazing stuff on your usual setup as well.
