back to beep boops for weeklybeats heart

I still love those cheesy Wizard Radio beats I made in 2024 so I'll be rummaging around for some more wiz samples. Also gonna try to do it all without a DAW: pure M8 or OP-1F. That is already backfiring somewhat as the clav in this track is harsher than it sounded in M8?

feedback always welcome, trying to learn how to make music for my video games

That's some sweet beep boops heart

As for feedback: high percussion like those claves can really pop out of a mix. Even worse: your ears get used to them over time, so when you're working on a track for a longer time it becomes hard to spot that they're a bit loud.

Good stuff, I'm sure this would be a nice fit for a variety of videogame settings.

Oh those smooth scales that fade in toward the end of the track are LIT. Definitely works well for a video game. I'm reminded of 16-bit era jrpgs.

nice fade in! very abrupt ending haha

I like the sounds in this a lot. The track has a nice minimalistic feel to it (in a good way)!

100%, this happens to me every time I use a clave (I have some physical ones!)

one mixing tip is to turn down the volume so the track is inaudible, and slowly increase - the loudest thing will become the first audible, so you would have heard the claves a lot sooner than anything else.

Excited for your OP-1F works!
