You follow the potion master into a small study where he has you sit. You sink into the plush worn leather chair and try to fathom the books and trinkets that fill every available space. After a short wait he joins you and sits in the opposite chair. He clears his phlegmy throat and says, "Tell me what is you seek." You explain in detail how you first heard of the wizard and what you wish for him to do. He asks you strange questions about your life, trivial things you can scarcely remember. Finally, after two hours of questioning (and payment) he guides you downstairs to the brewing chamber. "Wait here while I gather the ingredients from my stores," he commands.

From a back room he rolls out a shaky brass cart with squeaking wheels. "Have you ever seen a potion brewed before?" he asks. You answer that you have not. "Perhaps this will be of interest to you, observe."

After last week's song I knew I wanted to do a track with the potion master applying his craft. After I finished the track I cracked open my DAW for the first time this year to record the potion master's lines. You can record on m8 directly but that seemed a little too difficult after a couple of attempts.
