This one is a collaboration with fellow WeeklyBeats producer Xjs. We jammed together in the underground parking lot at GPN22, created a set of loops, and then both of us made our own track based on them. I haven't listened to his track yet, it's gonna be as much of a surprise to me as my track is to him! smile

While I was working with the Deluge at GPN, Xjs used Ableton, which was therefore the superset and thus made me finish the track in Ableton too. I hadn't really worked with Live since the days of version 10, but it was nice to be forced to dive into it once more.

Having produced 22 weeks of beats basically DAWless, going back to the computer to make music felt a lot like work instead of play, but on the other hand there's so much more possible with it, and the effects sound way better. I might be coming back in the future …

Ran out of time and, frankly, inspiration after about half of the track, I hope it's still somewhat decent. Its main weaknesses are probably the drum patterns and the mix and mastering, but I still like it.

Collaborating was fun, I encourage every one of you to try it! Also, thanks to Xjs for his time and contributions. Let's do that again sometime smile

A quite different take on the material. I especially like how you resolved the main chord, I absolutely didn't expect that but it makes a lot of sense.
I like your mix, too. You make everything sound very spacious, and you layered the different components very carefully and you seem to have given every layer a lot of individual attention. Your handwriting is also very noticeable in how every individual instrument sounds. smile
Finally, again, this was probably the most fun I had since WeeklyBeats started. I completely underestimated how much more fun it is to make music together live! Definitely recommended to everybody! smile

It's rather sparse, and the minor keys added to it make it a very disconcerting experience.
