Unstuck

I had an Ableton Push, never really produced anything with it. Upgraded to a Push 2, same story. Bought a Synthstrom Deluge, which collected dust as well.
Then WeeklyBeats came along and forced me to make a track. Every week. I got better. I'm having fun. But the soft touch coating on my Push was all sticky, so I did it all on the Deluge.
I've finally cleaned the Push and used it to produce this week's track. And oh boy, is it different from the Deluge. Not better or worse. Different.
Having made ~ 40 tracks on the Deluge, the Push seems unnecessarily, almost comically large. Some of its workflow and UX choices feel clunky and slow compared to the Deluge. But the display and the velocity sensitive pads are a really nice change.
And I mean, it shouldn't be a surprise, but holy shit, Ableton Live is a whole different beast, sonically, compared to the Deluge's onboard synths and effects.
This week's track is somewhat long and ambient, simply to revel in these sounds.
However, "switch from the thing you have almost a year of experience with to a DAW you basically haven't touched in years, one day before the deadline" wasn't my brightest idea ever. I ran out of time, the arrangement is rushed and unfinished, and the mastering doesn't deserve that name. But: It's a track, and I'll probably use Ableton more and, again, get better.
