Shitcase

This week's track is titled after a wheeled suitcase that had an unfortunate encounter with a pile of dog shit. Not mine, luckily, although I'm currently traveling as well, which is why it's an M8-only track again.

I've been in the mood for some Drum & Bass (no Jungle, I'm afraid), but I have to say that finishing the track felt like more of a chore. I think the pacing and variations are all over the place, and in the end the main chord sample was really bothering me, but I didn't have the time or the energy to switch it out for something else.

In contrast to last week, lots of samples in this one. Might even be 100 % sample-based, I'm not sure.

I find doing filter sweeps on the M8 annoyingly difficult, but maybe that's because I'm using REP commands to do it. Manipulating an LFO on the fly or even outright cloning the instrument might be easier, I need to try that out.

Feel free to ask questions or give feedback. I'm here to learn, and that includes constructive criticism.

is it weird I knew what the second chord was gonna be as soon as I heard the first one hahha

I don't dislike the beat. maybe just seems a bit too vanilla, but then again it's good practice.

a track is a track. thx for sharing.
