Señor Morgan

By Saucey-dough on May 3, 2020 11:40 pm

I have been playing waaay too much Red Dead and watching waaaay too much Narcos. I'm falling victim to the de-motivated quarantine blues. I made this all today. I wish I could put some more time into the mix....but thats my fault. We went to the Grand Canyon for the first time right before the Rona hit. We thought it was a fitting photo for this song.

i can picture Mprgan high-tailing it thru Blackwater with nobody being able to stop him.  This is fun as hell, awesome job

Nice dude, awesome old west jam!  The only staple missing was the whistle thing, but I was still happy to hear the rattle in there.  The guitars sound awesome at the beginning, great use of space with the verb.

I agree with Foo, the reverb gives such a great open sound and the overall guitar tone is perfect. Big fan of the snare triplets as well. Killin it Chris. #padme

Haha thanks man. Lenny and Arthur just finished tying one down at the saloon, fighting everyone in site, now just riding off into the sunset. Ain’t nobody catching señor Morgan while this track is playing.

Haha thanks bud. Yea I wanted those guitars in the beginning to sound huge. I felt it got a little muddy once everything got in there but not bad for a day. Rattlesnake or banana shaker? You be the judge.

You nailed the atmosphere. I'm so jealous, I gotta get to that canyon some day. I love the moment when the drums come in, it's pulled off so cleanly. I love the sharp guitar tone too, it sounds like a mandolin towards the end. Really cool tune heart

It truly is unlike anything I have ever experienced. We got up to watch the sunrise and my life felt complete. I would strongly recommended trying to have that experience one day. Thanks digging on the instrumentation. I used my nylon string classical acoustic for all the parts, but you're right it does have that mando tone to it. I thought about adding some mando. Maybe one day smile Thanks for listening hieme and shout out again for that killer "Pulling the Strings" remix!

Nice job on this man, it sounds great.

Are you Antonio Banderas into the Once upon a time in Mexico movie? This is great. Very well done. I need to find a nylon string guitar now. lol.

You and Foo are all about the whistles haha. I should included a western type whistle rather than a classic gym whistle. Ill see what I can do.....haha. Glad you enjoyed it!

I am a Mexican...not a Mexican't.....Haha glad you enjoyed it!

Tarnation, that's some mighty fine guitarin'.

This song really paints a western picture, you really nailed the atmosphere. I played along at home by playing an eagle screech around two minutes in.
