Monteverde

Just two friends. Collaborating. And sounding A LOT like a certain band. Haha. Fun times @Mikememo. Just like the good ol' days.

The photo was taken in Monteverde, Costa Rica last year. The editing was inspired by Chon's "Grow" album cover.

Great collab man. Your drums sit perfectly with that unreal guitar. Great great job dudes.

fuck yeah dude, im going to be blasting the hell out of this week.  i dont think its possible for a drummer to play something more satisfying to what you did to compliment mikes guitar playing.  A fuckin plus job dude.

Is this what weed looks like in the future?  Goddamn, this is fucking cool.  Good job bros.  Absolutely love all the rhythmic stuff going on here.  This is all 4:4 right?  All the syncopation and triplets make it sound like there'd be odd meter in there.  Drum part is super cool too man.  As a drummer of like 3 weeks, I can honestly say I'd have no clue what to play on this track.

tbh I clicked because I love monteverde, but this collab hauls. will click again

Badass drumming. I wish I could play like that... smile

Yea Mike really crushed the guitar in this track.

Im glad you felt the groove of the drums. Like most Chon songs, I was trying to throw in some intricate fills, play with the odd time signatures, but keep your head bobbing all at once. The guitar is obviously the star. I was just trying to have my moments as second fiddle, but not feel like I was trying to out perform Memo.

At 00:48, it jumps into a 5/4, 5/4, 6/4 fill, but yea the rest of the song is in 4/4. I tried putting accents on certain riffs that give it the illusion its not in 4/4...but.. it is. I keep forgetting you bought that kit!! Haha.

Sweet! A group of us went last year and it was incredible. We experienced a few days in San Jose, Monteverde, Tamarindo, and Arenal. Costa Rica exceeded expectations by far. Such a beautiful country. Thanks for listening codydjango. Ill pop over and give your tracks a listen too!

From drummer to drummer, thank you! Its always high praise to get compliments from a fellow player. Rock n roll!

This is awesome! Love all the different melodies in this and how smoothly they flow into each other.

Thanks danju! Check out the band Chon. Our track was the best impression of their style. Those guys have some wild instrumentals. Their album "Grow" is incredible.

Damn, you two work really well together.

Super stylish and smooth. Love the syncopated guitar and drum licks. Really beautiful!! Lots of intricate work on the tempos and timing variations. Awesome work guys!
