Campfire

By Saucey-dough on October 18, 2020 7:41 pm

I wrote this song over 10 years ago and have never recorded it. If it wasn't for WBs, I don't think I ever would have. That is why this community is so incredible. It just keeps forcing us to write, record, write, and record. The weather is starting to change in the Chicagoland area. Hopefully with that, I get back to listening and commenting. I know I have sucked the past few months! Enjoy.

Nice acoustic guitar, I like how you used it for percussions as well. Nice track.

Oh man, nostalgic.  Totally forgot about this tune!  Awesome recording man, great harmonies.  The big reverb on the percussion and acoustic really gives it an outdoorsy ambience feel.

Awesome guitar melodies here man! The recording really has a character of its own too. Keep cranking them out!

Very cool accoustic track! I like the singing and the ooh ooh at the end. The sound is good, it has this raw sound that is perfect for this track.

I'm glad you did, it's great.

Hey this is such a happy feeling. It bounces along so well. Love the lyric about still inging along ... all you need is campfire. What a good image. Takes me back to singing along at campfires for sure. cheers.

Thanks man! That is actually a cajon throughout the whole song. I do play the acoustic as percussion at the bridge. smile

For sure! Im surprised you remembered this song! Its so old. Haha. I would always sing it at Dads restaurant. He loves this tune. I really tried doing as much to give it that 'live' 'outdoor' feel.

Thanks Danju! I want to try recording one or two more old songs of mine that I never recorded before the new original content starts cranking. It feels good to sing though!

Thank you! I'm glad you found it catchy. I was really shooting for that 'raw live' feel for sure smile

Haha we all forget the words at a bonfire. Especially if there are libations involved. I'm happy it painted that image for you. Salud!!!!
