Música para la muerte de un antepasado

By Satan on January 14, 2018 5:56 pm

"Música para la muerte de un antepasado" translates to english in something like "music for the death of an ancestor". I've made this for the 10th anniversary of my father's death.

Used charango and quena for the southamerican flavours. It's kinda sad and it's kinda strong "warrior-esque" vibe on it, and I like it. Just finished the final touches yesterday.

Of course, use Ableton Live 10 (the wavetable synth is amazing and all of the synths are maded by me with it).

I really like the triplet-heavy rhythm in the first half and the juxtaposition of melodic textures. The guitar-sounding one is gorgeous as is the whispery detuned vocal/flute. I wasn't as into the housey rhythm in the second half but I really enjoyed everything else.

I like the textures and composition a lot. Especially the triplet feel, along with the snare on the & of 4 in the first section.

what a beautiful tribute!
