Walk Home or Die Trying

By sandyMclandy on February 15, 2026 9:47 pm

This week I recorded some drums at my work place.
I sat my zoom H4N on a chair and recorded a take with each drum separately. I then cut up the takes and used the bits I thought sounded interesting or that were easy to make a beat with.

Synths initially sketched on M8. Arranged and added to in Ableton.

I love the deeper beeps at 1:12! Really cool opening, and the plucked lead sounds amazing. Awesome groove when the drums kick in, though I want to know where you work that you can just set up and record drums!
This one is very cinematic.

Beautiful! I love the spacious atmosphere and deep tone. big_smile

The high pitched synths that kinda sound like a plucked instrument are so great! Such a cool atmosphere overall, too, awesome work!

Thanks for listening and taking the time to comment. We have a "Jam Room" at work filled with all the instruments we've all collected over the years.

Thank you!

so cool! i meant to comment on your question on the discord about choosing which music to work on/ pursue/ etc... but i just didn't have the words (struggling a bit w/ written communication lately)

wanted to let you know i really enjoyed listening through all your submissions so far this year. i really appreciate your detailed focus, and there is a playful melodic sense that really comes through. the music feels alive.
thank you for sharing it with us!

Nice and simple. Calming. Good melodies.

This is a really thoughtful comment and I appreciate you taking the time to write it.
Knowing that someone had a listen through to everything is very heartening.
