A Song To Crash Your Car To

By sandyMclandy on April 12, 2026 10:23 pm

Sketched on MPC. Synths replaced in Ableton. Largely used Surge, open source synth. First time using it. It's really good. Very impressed.
I arranged this song to the video for Acid Rain by Lorn.
That was a freeing process. It felt like tracing. The structure was all there visually already.
I did run over past the end of the video quite a bit though. It's hard to be concise.

I'm impressed, too! The sound is huge. Very clean. I like all the varying synths. Good job!

This sounds great! Love the more minimalist approach. Congrats!

Love this. For me this is a masterpiece. Insta favorite

I really like the idea of composing to a video. There are so many dynamic changes you make to this track that are real rad and I like to think they were necessary switch up from the visuals. Particularly like the arpy bass in the minimal sections heart

really dig this beat

You smashed it

Like how all the arpy things layer together harmonically. Very pleasant. And that brass patch - my god, that's huge!

Thanks a lot. Spent a bit of time on this one so it's good to hear it made an impression.
