Commencement of the Intergalactic Cacti Council

Decided to try something new and work with some virtual instruments. Used a couple different arpeggiators to do most of the heavy lifting and tried to add some synth bass to make it interesting. I wanted to add more guitar to this one but wasn't sure how to get it to fit together in a way that I wanted. I did add a guitar jam to the end though and I was pretty happy with that. Definitely going to try more electronic stuff in the future. It's really fun. I did have some trouble getting the levels right. I've feel like I've only started getting a handle on that with guitars and bass, and it seems like the synths are their own beast in that regard. Think I managed to get a final volume on the track that is acceptable without an overload of low end.

Ooooo, pretty interesting to hear your approach to electronic music. I can definitely hear Saguaro-isms in some of your melodies, but overall it's a pretty new exploration of sound. Also I like how it gradually seems to change from an ambient mood to dark nightclub music by the end with some swanky soloing. wink

This is more than acceptable, this is great.

A good bunch of ideas here and I thought the guitar lead at the end was tastefully done.

Love the wub-wub-wub in the middle section. Plucky arp on top of that sounds rad. Super tasty soloing. The highs of the solo really make it float on top of the electronic elements. Great job!
