Meteor Storm

Another one in just before the deadline! Came up with the intro riff last week and then decided to take a few hours and see what I could add to it today. Used the Logic drummer again to save some time. Hopefully the mix is alright. Trying to make sure to balance the loudness levels of the clean and distorted guitars. Hopefully I didn't take too much punch out. It sounds alright on my headphones (not mixing headphones) so hopefully that translates well. This one came out like some kinda strange mix of indie rock, stoner metal and surf rock. I'm actually pretty happy with it considering I almost decided to take this week off!

Oh yeah, for sure. Around the 2 minute mark it feels like a soundtrack for some Quentin Tarantino-esqe movie, like surf-western-rock or something. I have no idea what I'm truly trying to describe here. Maybe Psychedelic metal? It's a cool sound you stumbled across though. That pull off riff around the 3 minute mark is especially cool. The melody you came up with to round out the end was very nice too. Glad you're still making songs every week even if you're not feeling up to it sometimes. It's nice to have a momento for the effort, you won't regret that by year's end.

Good one you for making the deadline. I've been right up to the wire myself a few times. You've covered so much ground here, some huge psychedelic sounds. Also really love the Tarantino-esque part.

this is epic, great stuff!

Nice work getting it in before deadline. I missed a couple weeks recently and although I'm not gonna beat myself up over it, it woulda been nice if I'd just cranked something out, even if it was really simple.. and this is good stuff! Mix is sounding good to me and +1 on the Tarantino comments, cool vibe

So much talk in the comments about the Tarantino part, I wasn't sure what I was in for. Fits the bill for sure, though like Viridian mentioned this style is hard to describe. Has lots of different elements thrown into the pot. Nice work!
