Galactic Tea

By Saguaro Gigante on March 10, 2024 11:50 pm

I made a little electronic tune for this week's submission. Been practicing a lot of guitar lately and felt like I needed to take a bit of a break from that. I made some tea to drink while making this tune, but I of course forgot all about it while it was brewing. I used some drum loops in Logic and then added some of my own bass lines and melody parts using the musical typing feature (still need a MIDI controller) and using quantization to clean it up. I was originally going to have this be more of a mid-tempo tune but at the end decided to bump the speed way up because I thought it sounded more fun that way.

Can't believe it's already been 10 weeks! Only 42 more to go...

Hell yeah dude, this bops. You got some really rad drum parts written here and that synth solo at 1:50 is nassssttttyyy.

RIP to your cold tea. I know the feeling all to well. I'll be sitting there and remember 40 minutes later, "FUCK"

Thanks man, glad you liked it! Though I can't really take credit for the drum parts since I just used the Logic drummer tracks. I was going to make my own but this was such a last minute thing I realized I needed to save time and just use what was already available. I mean I guess I had to pick the loops so there is that... And no worries about the tea, I just warmed it up and it was good as new!

This is light and fun. I dig the stuff that comes out when you put your musical experience and perspective into different genres.

Rad. Very arcade like.

Based and beep-boop pilled.

dude electronic SG is really fantastic
